Mumbai, March 1: Shoot of Ek Villain Returns started in the city on Monday with scenes filmed on John Abraham and Disha Patani. Director Mohit Suri and producer Ekta Kapoor say they are glad that things are getting back to normal in the film industry, and they hoped to see the audience at the movies once again.

"I was waiting for this day for a while now. Unfortunately with the pandemic, things went off-track but now I am glad we are back to where we belong - making movies! I hope to recreate the Ek Villain magic with this one," says Suri.

Talking about bankrolling the project, Ekta Kapoor says, "I'm excited to take the franchise forward. This time around the action, drama and suspense only heightens. See you at the movies."

Mumbai, Feb 18 (Ians) Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor describes the lockdown phase of last year as one of her crucial phases for self-realisation. It was a period when she could learn to unlearn and redefine the value of zero, the spiritual meaning of shunya, she says.

Lockdown was a time for me to understand the value of several things, including self-love, the family and my emotional and spiritual health. Ever since Marjaavaan, starring Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra was first announced, fans were eager to find out and see more. The movie, directed by Milap Zaveri, also stars Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh.

Talking about the film the director says, “It is a massy action film ,angry, powerful and emotional along the lines of those made by Mukul Anand, Subhash Ghai, and Rajkumar Santoshi. Marjaavaan is a love story with lots of action, dialogue baazi and some beautiful tender moments.”

Actor Sidharth Malhotra, whose last few films have performed below expectation at the box-office, has dismissed rumours that he is taking a sabbatical. Rather, pinning hope on his forthcoming release "Marjaavaan", he added that makers of action drama have ensured that he is presented in the film in a best possible manner.

"Every actor thinks about what he wants from a film before signing it. This film is an ode to all the heroes that I have seen in Hindi movies. I have always been inspired by the hero's entry, action and stuff like, so with similar excitement, I started work on this film,a said Sidharth, about "Marjaavaan", while interacting with the media at the trailer launch of the upcoming film.

He was accompanied at the event by co-actors Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sutaria, and Rakul Preet Singh, besides the film's director Milap Zaveri.

The second song of the film "Pranaam" has been released.

The song "Zindagi" is sung by Ankit Tiwari, who has in the past delivered hit numbers in "Aashiqui 2", "Ek Villain" and "Roy".

Preanaam marks the return of actor Rajeev Khandelwal to the big screen, and is directed by Sanjeev Jaiswal and produced by Rajnish Ram Puri.

"We wanted to create a film that includes romance and action. The film's songs like 'Sirf tu' and 'Zindagi' reveal romance in the script. Along with the action, these songs will keep viewers hooked to the story," Puri promised.

A highlight of the film is the chemistry between Rajeev Khandelwal and Sameksha Singh. Ankit Tiwari's music works at underlining that chemistry. Rajeev plays the son of a peon who dreams of becoming an Ias officer but ends up becoming a gangster.

The shooting for director Mohit Suri's next romantic, action thriller Malang has begun. A tweet, "Aaj se Malang..." was posted on the film's official handle. It will star veteran Anil Kapoor along with Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Kunal Kemmu and will release on February 14, 2020.

Most of the shooting in March is concentrated in Mauritius and Goa. The film is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, Luv Ranjan Films and Northern Lights Entertainment's Jay Shewakraman.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh is all set to play a villain once again in Milap Zaveri’s Marjaavaan. Produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Emmay Entertainment’s Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani, the romantic action drama also stars his Ek Villain co-star Siddharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria along with Rakul Preet Singh.

On Riteish playing villain again in his film, director Milap says, “Riteish’s villainous role had to be better than the last time. I decided to raise the bar by scaling him down in size. Even though he is a dwarf, his character is larger than life. The part is extremely wicked with dark humour, great punch lines and some crazy face-off scenes with Sid.”
