Amazing Shockingly Simple Truths of Indian Democracy
The movie is composed of real time shots of Arvind Kejriwal running for Delhi's leadership position while confronting the two main stream parties. The movie is shot from a neutral point of view but it shows how rotten the system is and yet how there is hope when people come together to create change.
We were invited to a special screening in California and the movie got a standing ovation at the end.
The movie is produced and edited as if it was a true Hollywood or Bollywood movie and yet retains the innocence of a documentary style.
Irrespective of your political leanings, this is a great movie to re-live one of the most dramatic elections in recent history.

Must Must Watch!
Amazing work by makers. They have compiled raw footage from start to end in such a way that it looks like a thrilling movie. This will be the first and last movie of its kind as such access, such transparency may not be possible to give for even AAP now, forget about other traditional parties.Great work!

Must watch
A Must watch for all age groups! Especially the youth of India.
This movie got standing ovation at all screens abroad.
All credit goes to the director who persisted all odds to present this movie.
There were innumerable hurdles thrown by vested interests who manipulate the system.
Nice narrative which show what can be done when common men and women unite to create a new political system free of corruption.
Im sure this movie ruffles some feathers for the established political parties.
Appreciate Supreme court to refuse to ban this movie.
Its high time Indian public start working towards eradicating corruption!

Watch it even if you are not interested in AAP or India
I was forced to tag along with by my friend for a preview and assumed that this will be some boring story glorifying the struggle of this party and leader. how wrong was I!!
Some good aspects of the documentary- First, It is not boring, even when you know everything that is going to happen it feels thrilling because you see the same events from the inside perspective. Duration is very short and hence extremely fast paced. Second, Kejriwal is not the star here, the story itself is the main character. Yogendra Yadav has almost equal impact as Kejriwal. The poster is misleading, I think they made it to attract more people. Third, - There is no glorification, like we see in our news channels - Saviour of common man, Anti-corruption king etc. Every character will feel like an ordinary person.
Some unique aspects of this documentary
Some other things to know, this is not story of 2015 election, they have only shot till Dec 2013 when results were announced. There is nothing about Kejriwal's role as CM, resignation etc.
So catch this riveting and unconventional piece of cinema while you can, I am sure that this kind of movie will never be made again. Even AAP themselves will not give such an access to anyone now. In an interview the directors said that when they went to AAP in Oct 2012 there was no media house covering AAP. So the party was happy to have anybody who wanted to film them.

Some unique aspects of this documentary
- ZERO VOICE OVERS This is perhaps the only documentary I have seen which has no voice overs. There is no narrative voice which explains the events being shown or about to be shown.
- ZERO INTERVIEWS, the photographer is always on 'observational mode' i.e. nobody actually sees in the camera lens and answers something asked by the director. In many documentaries like Sachin's we have his colleagues, relatives, commentators sitting in front of camera and recalling some stories; In this one there is nothing like that. Everybody is going about there own business as if they are not being filmed.
- LEVEL OF ACCESS is unprecedented there are a lot of scenes upon which one might think how did the camera get there? One example is - Scene of Election commission's counting center, we have 100 channels in our nation but till date nobody has shown what happens inside a vote counting center. This is the reason, despite knowing the result of election, viewer will feel thrilled when in ECI office a print out comes with the live tally of seats.
- COMEDY. Yes there are some comical moments when you see the personalities in complete unrehearsed demeanor. e.g Yogendra Yadav being nervous or Kejriwal laughing uncontrollably
Some other things to know, this is not story of 2015 election, they have only shot till Dec 2013 when results were announced. There is nothing about Kejriwal's role as CM, resignation etc.

The film beautifully captures the story of an insignificant man being made significant by the energy and aspirations of thousands of insignificant people.

A Significant Story
It is one of a kind documentary to come out of India.
It highlights many challenges which have been existing in our society when we talk about dissent. It sharply focuses on the fundamental struggle for a citizen's right and the illustrates ways to achieve it.
It's incredibly humorous, enlightening, inspiring and intimidating.
Three cheers to the filmmakers for their courageous effort to tell this story with seamless fear.
I'd suggest the makers to put up this film on Cineoo or other popular platforms with 'View and Donate' option, like Anand Gandhi did for The Ship of Theseus. The more Indians view it, the more they they become aware.

The underdog story of AAP.
My Rating : 7/10
Real nice documentary film about how a new party enters Indian politics. It's well-edited and well-paced - good watch for anyone interested in knowing more about what goes on behind-the-scenes.
Well-made and it's no less than watching a Bollywood movie - there's drama, suspense, tragedy and much more!
Good watch - just shows how difficult it is to make a change in such a large democracy.

Significant documentary
Definitely a must see documentary which is very different that other documentaries in the way it is created and presented. All this contains is the clips of (home) videos taken during the first few years of Arvind Kejriwal's rise to power. But this is powerful enough to make you emotional.

An objective documentary that shows the growth of new politics in Indian democracy
This is not the traditional documentary with facts and figures but an objective presentation of the true set of events through which the nation went in the tight months of strife among the political parties.
The Yogendra Yadav exit was among the major turn of events. Arvind's role is not good or bad but true. The unfateful demise of Santosh Koli was grievous.
Certainly this is a must watch for every Indian for making sure of getting out of the regular caste and religion based politics.
India needs to stand together to drive the nation into new set of political institutions that are powerful.

Arvind - never forget 'what u were originally'
It's not easy to give up your comfort zone. Arvind and his associates did exactly that for greater good, for better political system, for better country, even though if it's only Delhi (one step at a time).
I believe there is a better Politician established at the centre.
The struggle that a new party may go through is shown nicely. I liked the criteria pre established to choose over the candidates. I liked how they fought together till they achieved their historic win.
Their shown and recent disintegration is a sad sight.
I would like to share one incident an incidence where a shoe was thrown at Arvind. In turn Arvind returned to him and tried to answer a plea. Maybe we as a citizen of this nation expect this from a 'COMMON MAN' rather than a leader. An occurrence where one can give a thought. If you would have asked me, I would choose to be a leader; this is where I think he is stronger.
A party requires funds so a system where funds are made available without ethically challenging anything would be sublime.
Recently Arvind added few new members to his party, by looking at their profiles (and by referring to members he said bye), it seemed he might not be wrong. But who knows only time will tell.
My advice Arvind - never forget 'what u were originally'.

Simple real truth, no acting, no drama no tears, just simple mobile phone shoot embedded
One of the Must-See Documentaries About Current World Politics. The film sees a good theatrical run and has been loved by audiences like me. The way they have maintained a coherent narrative makes you feel as if you're watching a taut thriller; they keep you glued till the very last moment.
Simply in Awe!!
This documentary on the formation and rising of AAP to power in Delhi Elections in 2013 is captured brillianty covering all sides of the story, the party's own internal conflicts, and even discusses about the populist manifesto. Yogendra Yadav is the real politician and has the right brain and execution to steer AAP to the Assembly. This one line - "Ideology can only be practiced in monastery!" sums up everything and what one has to do in politics to achieve the ideology. Do watch it to witness the greatest event in Indian politics in the last decade!!

The Ultimate Documentary and one of the Indian films of all time
An insignificant man is a work of art, it changes the way we view politics, the characters are not good or bad, but have a very different sense of morality. It will throw light on the idea of democracy and what is democracy. Recommended highly.

No words can describe this struggle!
In a country where votes are sold for cash & liquor.... a most insignificant man turned the crowd to rethink the importance of their lives...
I am astonished with the work done on the editing of this entire documentary and your team deserves accolades for all the good work...
Looking forward for more great work in the coming years!
