"Mother Saint" Statue Sculpture was an actual 8 foot tall sculpture on an 8 foot tall podium, sculpted by artist Chua Boon Kee. No use of CGI for the statue.
Bombs used in the film were real, based on home-made bomb recipes found online. Explosions were small, but very real and dangerous.
Faeryville took 8 years to make.
Faeryville is the first dystopian film from Singapore.
"Mother Saint" Statue featured in the film is based on a drawing by Tzang Merwyn Tong, 18 years before Faeryville was made, when he was a student. The Statue, which featured a Hooded-Statue-of-Liberty-like Saint holding a gun in one hand, and a book in another, was the subject of controversy in some festival screenings.
