A drunk man is choking to death in the toilets of a dive bar and is met by the Devil in the shape of a childhood friend . The Devil promises the man that he can extend his life but only on the condition that he can do something for him
Yet another short film that relies on a twisty turning plot along with a feel of bitter black comedy and poetic justice . Alex Grybauskas does however get off to a fairly bad start . You can see a slight inspiration of this story stemming from the works of Franz Kafka but the toilet scenes are let down by a noisy in your face editing style reminiscent of a Michael Bay film , If this was broadcast on television it would contain a warning of flashing images and even if you don't suffer from photo sensitive epilepsy it's still headache inducing . It also goes against directorial teachings in that if you're setting up a scene featuring important plot points then it's best to keep the camera work static . That said it does pick up greatly once the story gets underway . You might have to suspend disbelief a fair bit , after all if Satan needs human help in order to extract revenge against people he's not much of a supernatural being , but this is the type of short film where the plot twists are all important and makes for a fairly engaging short film
