- TriviaOriginally scheduled to release on May 3, but it was delayed to August 9, for undisclosed reasons.
- GoofsWhen Gretchen follows Ed who followed the half naked vomiting woman, she enters a room with a sign showing opening hours. On the lower end of this sign it reads "Keine Kunde erlaubt" in German, which translates to "No customer(s) allowed". This sentence is grammatically incorrect. In German it would either be "Kein Kunde" (singular) or "Keine Kunden" (plural), but "Keine Kunde" uses the plural "no" and the singular "customer".
- SoundtracksString Quartet No. 1 in F Major, Op. 18/1 II. Adagio affettuoso ed appassionato
Written by Ludwig van Beethoven
Performed by Vlach Quartet

I had high hopes
This movie is not that good. It has its moments but to be honest with you, they showed the best parts in the trailer. There were only about 3 jump scares in the whole movie. They put some creepy moments in the movie which were well done but they were overshadowed by plot holes and just a bunch of nonsensical ideas. You have some characters that like each other romantically for no reason whatsoever. You have a main villain who has some sort of reason to want the monsters around but doesn't bother giving us any idea of what that is. The main character is a not likeable at all. She has a few good scenes for acting but I can't like her so I don't root for her at all. No chemistry between any love interests or in any family dynamics. I will say that it looks great and it has good direction. Dan Stevens is great.
