This show is boring and terrible without Stephen A on it. On sports commentary shows, there needs to be a polarizing figure who generates discussions or arguments. Love him or hate him, he is First Take. It is unwatchable without him.
Molly is needed to be the calming influence and also to make the show move through the topics for that day. She is excellent at what she does.
In truth, the show was at its best with Skip and Stephen A. Skip would antagonize Stephen A and the argument that ensued would be TV magic. Those two were great together.
I think the biggest problem is within ESPN and Disney. They seem to be putting vanilla figureheads with no opinions on anything. There needs to be discussion and dissenting opinions on the show and in life. Show both or all sides of issues, then hash it out. ESPN seems to be afraid to offend anyone and entertain no one. The result-Garbage!
