Take the rock bottom expectations you have for an Albert Pyun flick and apply it to 'Nemesis 2: Nebula'. A slow credit sequence pads time, shots from the first film are shown to give you the impression this might be fun, but it actually works the opposite. Cheap walls of text, voiceover move the almost non existant storyline ahead at least initially. After the novelty of watching a female bodybuilder wears out, you're stuck with visuals in the middle of nowhere and lame action.
The Cyborgs won the war versus the humans, took over the world and enslaved them. The only hope now lays with a baby injected with a new DNA variation in 2074. The mother is able to escape via a stolen craft that can travel thru time and end up in the year 1980 during civil unrest in East Africa. The baby grows up into a fierce muscular warrior Alex (Sue Price) a standout amongst her Kutu tribe. Then a futuristic bounty hunter "Nebula" touches down to confirm her DNA identity before termination.
At first, I thought this was legit shot in Africa with the desert scenery, native tongue being used (subtitles here). Turns out it's actually Arizona they're stomping, but no matter. There's a bunch of one note human enemies and of course that robot shows up looking like the Predator as so many have already said. The pyro guy gets to flex his muscles in the finale, but even this turns out rather boring because the whole tale is so unengaging.
Limping to an 80 minute finish, 'Nemesis 2' is so far removed from the enjoyable action sci-fi original it's a crime. Working with no money was director Pyun's bread 'n butter, but this is a real bore. Word is Nemesis 2 thru 4 was supposed to be one big film. I don't know if I 100% buy that, but everyone says the series gets worse from here and I'm bound to believe them.
