- TriviaThe house, barn, and lake were all purpose-built on location. The man-made lake wasn't properly sealed, and, subsequently, the water drained into the soil during the first week of filming.
- GoofsJason has no wound in his shoulder, despite being stabbed deeply with the machete at the end of Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981), which took place the day before.
- Crazy creditsOpening credits leap out at you in 3D.
- Alternate versionsThe new broadcast television print, as seen on Spike TV, not only removes all references to Debbie being pregnant, but it also removes many of Chuck and Chili's opening scenes to omit the minor marijuana references. In fact, the first time we see either of them is when the whole group is standing over the old man in the road.

Featured review
The third film in the Friday series demonstrates the fact that Jason cannot be dispatched with ease. In fact he seems pretty damned indestructible. There is a group of friends hanging out at a cabin around Crystal Lake, and Jason is not having it. This was originally in 3D, but it works just as well in 2D. You will have to overlook the obvious attempts to make the most of the 3D film though. A very solid entry into the franchise and we get to see Jason claiming his hockey mask.
