- TriviaOn location near Echo Park Lake, one of the crew noticed the Chevy Nova (picture car) was missing. The motor officers assigned set security fanned out to find it. One of the actors had taken it out on the street and was using the red light causing motorists to pull over thinking it was an authentic police vehicle.

Featured review
Real off-duty LAPD officers are required by statute to work security for TV shows film on city streets and for which traffic control might be necessary. I worked as LAPD security for most of this series and was even granted a waiver for one episode when I had a two-line conversation with LaWanda Page. The actors were out-of-control. One day we were having lunch on the set when one of the other cops noted the actors and one of the yellow Chevy Novas was missing. The real cops all jumped on their motorcycles and began searching for the car. We found it a few blocks away as the actors were driving around, running the red "bubble gum" police light and pulling civilians over.
