It’s time to let Leon Bridges reintroduce himself. The soul artist is naming his upcoming fourth studio album simply Leon, and he’s previewing it with the serene-sounding “Peaceful Place.” He shot the video for the song around Mexico City, near where he recorded the record due out Oct. 4. He sings, “I’m in a peaceful place” on the song, with bongos and handclaps supporting him, and, of course, some soulful guitar. In a statement, Bridges said it’s the album he’s been waiting his whole life to record.

Chad Stuart, who, as half of the hit British Invasion duo Chad & Jeremy had a string of whispery folk-pop hits in the mid-1960s that included “A Summer Song,” “Yesterday’s Gone” and “Distant Shores,” died December 20 of pneumonia at his home in Hailey, ID. He was 79.

His death was announced on the official Chad & Jeremy Facebook page:

Shelley Morrison, a veteran character actress best known for playing the maid Rosario on “Will and Grace,” died Sunday at age 83.

She died of heart failure after a brief illness, her publicist told the Associated Press.

Originally cast as the maid of Megan Mullally’s spoiled Karen Walker for a single episode, she parlayed it into a recurring role in 68 episodes of the NBC sitcom between 1999 and 2006. She was part of the cast that was nominated for a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2002 and 2004.

A native Spanish speaker who was born in the Bronx to Sephardic Jews, Morrison first broke out playing a Native American in Western TV shows in the ’60s like “Laredo.”

In 1967, she landed her first major role in the hit sitcom “The Flying Nun,” in which she played a malaprop-prone Puerto Rican nun opposite Sally Field’s high-flying novice.

Shelley Morrison, who played Karen Walker’s sharp-tongued yet endearing maid Rosario Salazar on “Will & Grace” from 1999-2006, has died. She was 83.

Morrison died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles from heart failure after a brief illness, Morrison’s publicist, Lori DeWaal, told The Associated Press.

Rosario, who hailed from El Salvador, was originally written to appear in just one episode of the hit NBC series, but her dynamic with Megan Mullally’s Karen resonated so well with audiences that the charater went on to appear in 68 episodes over eight seasons of the original series. According to co-creator Max Mutchnick, Morrison was asked to reprise her role for the revival of “Will & Grace,” but had decided to retire from acting completely.

Sean Hayes, who played Jack McFarland on “Will & Grace,” remembered Morrison in an Instagram post.

Black died Nov. 29 of natural causes at home in Woodland Hills, Calif., his publisher, Jacobs Brown Press, announced.

Black penned 10 episodes of the original Hawaii Five-o, five installments of Charlie's Angels and multiple episodes of other series, including Lawman, The Untouchables, Mr. Novak, Laredo, The F.B.I., Room 222 and The Streets of San Francisco.

He also wrote and co-produced a 1974 pilot for a Wonder Woman series that starred Cathy Lee Crosby. (ABC and Warner Bros. went in a different direction a ...

Robert Wolders, who is known for his role in the Western television series Laredo and as the longtime companion of Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn, died on July 12. He was 81.

The official Twitter account of the Audrey Hepburn Children’s Fund announced the news saying, “With the heaviest heart we salute our Board Member, mentor and friend Robert Wolders. May your beautiful soul rest in peace. Your shining example lives on.”

Wolders was born in the Netherlands on Sept. 28, 1936. He studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. No details have been released about the cause of death.

Deanna Lund, who starred in the late-’60s sci-fi series Land of the Giants and went on to appear in dozens of films and TV shows, died Friday. She was 81.

Lund played the heiress Valerie Scott on Land of the Giants, the 1968-70 cult drama credited by pre-disaster movie producer Irwin Allen, who was coming off the science fiction series Lost in Space and Voyage to the Bottom of the Seas. It followed a group whose flight encountered a time warp and dropped them into mid-1980s London. The kicker was that they were normal size but everything they encountered was gargantuan: All of them could lounge on a breakfast plate, and a housecat was a hissing behemoth. The series didn’t really click with viewers, though it certainly gave its prop crew some enjoyable work.

The titular gang of Rape Squad is not a squad of rapists but rather a group of rape victims who band together to get revenge on their attacker. Released in 1974, Rape Squad is a bad taste bonanza that wants to have it both ways in terms of mixing sexploitation and feminism and the result is a queasy film that’s politically incorrect in a way only possible in the mid 1970’s. Though written by a woman (Betty Conklin), the film’s blatant misogyny is poorly concealed with the most shallow of feminist themes. Sure, the women who comprise the Rape Squad talk the talk about women’s empowerment, but the filmmakers make sure they do so while topless in the hot tub! Phil Carey, who played formidable business tycoon Asa Buchanan on ABC's soap opera "One Life to Live" for nearly three decades, died Feb. 6 at his home in New York following a battle with lung cancer. He was 83.

Carey originated the role of Asa in 1980. Diagnosed with lung cancer in 2006, he took medical leave from the show to undergo treatment then returned to the role later that year.

On "One Life to Live," Asa died in his sleep Aug. 16, 2007. The life of the Buchanan family patriarch was celebrated on the show's 10,000th episode the next day. Carey made three subsequent appearances on the show and was last seen when Asa read an addendum to his will Dec. 29.
