Jim and his brother Frank Warren are the most successful ranchers in the area. Jim is kidnapped and neighbor Abe Miller is killed. The Texas Rangers are called in to investigate the shooting, unaware a kidnapping has occurred. They get a false lead when Abe mumbles Jim's name on his death bed. The Rangers assume Jim is the killer and go to investigate. The Rangers interview Frank who is very aggressive. Jim's wife arrives and lets slip she has been to the bank. The Rangers now realize they are dealing with Jim's kidnapping as well. Frank explains the kidnappers warned not to involve the law. Frank tells the Rangers about the pickup point and a trap is set. When the money is dropped it is discovered the kidnappers want the money divided into capsules and attached to homing pigeons. The Rangers organize a helicopter to track the pigeons back to the kidnapper's lair. The Rangers then sneak up on the criminals but are spotted and a gunfight breaks out. The criminals are subdued and Jim is rescued unharmed.

Dr JB Thomas staggers down a street after being attacked and badly injured. He Collapses mutter 'Gaullas' before dying. The Rangers think it is an open and shut case. Karl Gaullas' wife recently died in child birth and Thomas was the doctor involved. Gaullas confirms being at the doctors but only seeking treatment for his arm. Gaullas explains an unknown man was waiting who is later identified as ranch hand Tony Horner. The Rangers visit his employer at the Ford ranch to find Horner has not been seen since last evening. Ranger Person plays a hunch and rather than drive back to town, follows a disused track. His hunch proves correct when the body of Horner is found with two bullet wounds. A medical examination of Horner shows an advanced case of 'Hoof and Mouth disease'. The Rangers return to the ranch and encounter Mr. Baxter in the process of buying the property. He is told of Thomas and Horner's death and the desire of Ford to cover up an outbreak of disease. Ford makes a run for it but is quickly apprehended and arrested

New York City, two men rob an antique store killing the owner in the process. Shortly after the Texas Ranger receive reports of a couple of strangers arriving in the area care of Ned Watkins and old timer who suffers from kleptomania. The criminals settle into a farm and wait for the gang leader arrive and inspect their haul of diamonds. Ned delivering food can't resist and steals the booty. The criminals realize what happened and set off after Ned. The Texas Rangers stop the chase and interview Ned. Suspicion is further aroused by how the criminals acted when the Rangers arrived. Headquarters confirm the identity of the criminals, and their involvement in the robbery in New York. The Rangers go to arrest the men, but a trap is set for them by the criminals. After being captured and managing to escape the Rangers make another attempt at securing the hide out. This time their actions are successful and following a ferocious fist fight the criminals are arrested and the diamonds recovered

Steve Bradford leases 60,000 acres of government land so he can capture wild horses, break them and supply the animals to the U.S. Cavalry for remounts. Using a forged document as authority, Curtis Dixon run Bradford off his property. When the Jace Pearson rides to the capital to determine who has the valid lease, Dixon sends one of his henchman to bushwhack the lawman.

When four rockets explode shortly after takeoff from their remote Texas launching pad and a local rancher was found murdered near the site, Pentagon security officials suspect sabotage. They request the assistance from the Texas Rangers, who said Rangers Pearson and Morgan to go undercover as ranch hands and discover an electronic beam was used to disable the rockets.

A young man witnesses a payroll robbery and murder and agrees to testify against the outlaw who committed the crime. During the trial, the witness is murdered and the outlaw is acquitted. When the witness' sister vows to ride into the Cherokee Strip, an area without law, to kill the man who gunned down here brother, Rangers Pearson and Morgan go undercover to entice the outlaw and his gang back into Texas to face legal retribution.

Someone is trying to frighten off potential buyers from a empty old house by shooting at anyone who shows an interest. The Texas Rangers are asked to investigate when a hobo is shot inside the building. During the investigation, the local sheriff finds a gold coin that might provide the motive for the killing and Ranger Pearson finds a stranger clue hidden in a pack rat's nest.
