When the bread that is cooking rises out of the pan, a startled Oscar exclaims "The Blob!" Guest star Richard Stahl (who plays Brother Ralph) at the time starred in the recently released "Beware the Blob," the sequel to the original 1958 Blob film.

Goofs
At the monastery, Oscar takes sugar cubes and makes dice out of them, but when they are rolled, you can easily tell they are real actual dice, especially by the sound.

The odd couple go to a monastery

Brother Ralph,a monk, turns up at Felix and Oscar's door looking for donations, the duo decide to go to the monastery for a retreat.

Frequent guest star Richard Stahl has his biggest and best role as Brother Ralph. There are a lot of laughs in this one as Oscar gets bored and has a crap game in his room with sugar cube dice. Felix turns him in and they both have to serve penance. The Gambler and The Fink have to be silent for 24 hours. Many funny scenes as they try to trick each other into speaking.
