As the Undertaker announces his retirement, we look back at his Wrestlemania record...
This article is from Den Of Geek Us.
WrestleMania XXX was an eventful show. It calmed the fears of those afraid that it would crash the WWE Network and cause major damage to the company's latest venture. Cesaro broke away from his tag team and broke out by winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy. Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, and the Rock hung out in the ring and had a blast. Mr. T and Roddy Piper buried the hatchet. Daniel Bryan went through an endless supply of punishment before being defeating Triple H, Randy Orton, and Batista.
That was a big moment and a major story, but the thing people will be talking about for a long time is the end of Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar. For the first time ever, Undertaker lost at...

Brendan Dassey's coming home to a hero's welcome -- from his parents, anyway -- and a room filled with reminders of how famous he's become while incarcerated for more than 10 years. Brendan won't be going home to his old bedroom ... instead he has a newly furnished one in the Manitowoc County, Wi home his family moved into about a year after his 2006 arrest. It's loaded with a shrine of sorts -- posters, letters, even...

"Making a Murderer" star, and controversial convict, Brendan Dassey's lost all hope in his new prison -- he will not get to see his favorite show, WrestleMania ... TMZ has learned. Dassey transferred to Columbia Criminal Institution in Wisconsin in January, and prison officials tell us there's a strict rule against violence, foul language and nudity for TV viewing. That means the WWE's main event is off the table, so avid wrestling fan Dassey is screwed.

Kurt Angle has left Tna after nearly ten years with the promotion, and now the next step in his career has been announced. Angle will take on former adversary Rey Mysterio at Ur Fight’s March 20th event.
Ur Fight is a fledgling hybrid promotion mixing various forms of combat sports. Angle versus Mysterio (hyped as “one final match” between the two) is one quarter of a quadruple main event on the March show, to be held at Phoenix, Arizona’s Celebrity Theater. The other advertised matches include an Mma bout between legendary rivals Dan Severn and Ken Shamrock, a grappling match pitting Chael Sonnen against Michael Bisping, and boxing icon Roy Jones, Jr. taking on a fan with $100,000 on the line.
Angle and Mysterio clashed many times in WWE, with the multi-time Cruiserweight Champion taking on the Olympic Gold Medalist in Mysterio’s Pay-Per-View debut with the company.

In one of the more bizarre news stories you’ll probably read this year, Brendan Dassey’s brother Brad is apparently trying to contact some wrestling personalties in order to ask them if they would visit his sibling in jail. Brendan was sentenced to life in prison for his alleged role in the October 2005 murder of 25-year-old photographer Teresa Halbach in 2007.
Prosecutors argued that Dassey assisted his uncle, Steven Avery, who is also serving a life sentence.
Of course, since the release of the Netflix documentary series Making a Murderer, doubt has been cast on Steven’s and (especially) Brendan’s supposed guilt. Brendan was 16-years-old at the time he was arrested and questioned, has a below-average Iq and learning difficulties. His defense team argued that detectives coerced a confession out of him, among other irregularities.
Astute viewers will note that, during a phone call to his mother, Brendan...

If you’ve been following this series of articles, you’ll have read about my first trip to the Us for WrestleMania Xix, my New York trip in 2004 and then again for when WrestleMania went Hollywood in 2005.
I decided to take a break in 2006 in order to pay off some student debts and let my bank balance recover a little. Shortly after making that decision, WWE announced that Bret Hart would be inducted into the Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 22 weekend. I wish I’d seen the ceremony that year (featuring the inductions of Hart, Sensational Sherri, Gene Okerlund and Eddie Guerrero) but in terms of WrestleMania 22 itself, I was Ok to give the show a miss that year.
After my year off, I decided I’d go back the following year and set about booking up for WrestleMania 23 in Detroit, Michigan. With it being twenty...

WWE Superstar Mark Henry was on a promotional appearance tour in India where he told the Times of India that his career could be nearing its conclusion: “I may retire next year. It may be the swan-song of my wrestling career; but definitely not the end of Mark Henry!”
Talk of the World’s Strongest Man retiring has been around for some time now as his career has slowly declined after a prolonged stay in the main events ran its course. Not since his interactions with John Cena in 2013 – and that fantastic hoax retirement speech on Raw – have we seen the 400-pounder booked in a position to showcase his talents. Recently, we’ve only seen Mark in less than flattering situations, jobbing to Rusev in next-to-no-time on consecutive RAWs before heading into the abyss.

For the past half-decade, one of the built-in storylines that has excelled as a drawing card for Wrestlemania has been building the belief in ability of the Undertaker’s opponents to end his now 21 match undefeated streak at the event. This year, the task of defeating the Undertaker falls on the shoulders of ex WWE and Ufc Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.
While yes, many fans are led to believe that Brock doesn’t stand a chance in hell of defeating the Dead Man, there’s now nearly three decades of proven maneuvers that could defeat the streak. Thus, in this article, I will list moves that either from the realm of reality or from that of the supernatural, could prove effective.

We are fast approaching the 30th annual WrestleMania event and it is the time of year when many wrestling fans look back on the famous event and revisit the moments that, for whatever reason, were memorable to them. Through the years there have been plenty of memorable moments at WrestleMania and dozens of wrestlers have carved themselves into the tree-bark of history with their performance on the grandest stage in professional wrestling. One of those wrestlers, of course, is the man who called himself “The Heartbreak Kid” and was labelled by fans and critics alike as “Mr WrestleMania”. That man is Shawn Michaels, and this DVD/Blu-ray package is about his legacy on WWE’s main stage.
Shawn Michaels made his WrestleMania debut as part of The Rockers tag team with Marty Jannetty to take on The Twin Towers in 1989 at the fifth annual show, and his last wrestling appearance...

As fans pour through the vast library of the WWE Network, you’ll see many of the same faces again and again. While more than seven hundred wrestlers have appeared on WCW and WWF pay-per-views, there’s a select group of top stars that have wrestled on dozens and dozens of times on PPV.
Using data collected from CageMatch.net and WCW PPV and WWF PPV star ratings from Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, I’ve compiled a list of the most prolific PPV wrestlers. Also, I’ve included match suggestions covering many of their finest in-ring accomplishments. To be on a list like this you need longevity, star power and a lot of tenacity.
Let’s see who qualified!

The life of a woman in WWE isn’t that easy because it’s fair to say that the professional wrestling business is a man’s world. To get to the top of the divas division you have to maximize every opportunity you get because the reality is there just aren’t as many opportunities as there are for the men on the roster.
On most editions of a three hour episode of Raw, there’s usually just one divas segment on the broadcast whether it’s a singles match or tag match. Often times those segments get under five minutes. That’s how little WWE thinks of their women at times.
Do you see a lot of the women on the roster get the chance to cut a promo to further a storyline? It doesn’t happen often. Aj Lee gets to talk the most,...

Sunday night, the WWE presented its fifth TLC pay-per-view, headlined by Randy Orton vs. John Cena for the Unified WWE and World Heavyweight Championships in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. We were promised the first clean finish to a PPV since the summer.
Unlike in previous years, the other variations of the TLC – the ladder and tables matches, namely – were not co-features to the PPV’s namesake. Instead, two handicap matches involving Daniel Bryan and Cm Punk were the secondary attractions along with a hodgepodge of throw together mid-card bouts that included defenses of the Intercontinental, Tag Team, and Diva’s Championships.
Here are the 5 things most noteworthy occurrences:
5. Aj Lee Continues To Bring Back Respect To The Women’s Division

Hosted by The Miz, the compilation features every Money in the Bank Ladder Match in history. The match debuted at WrestleMania 21 in 2005, quickly becoming a WrestleMania tradition and in 2010 proved so popular that it was given its own annual PPV event. Several top Superstars have been Money in the Bank winners including John Cena, Kane, Edge, Cm Punk (twice!), Rob Van Dam and many more. 11 of the first 12 winners have used the match as a springboard to winning a championship, and several times the match has helped a Superstar who has never win a World Championship break through to claim their first. Much like the Royal Rumble Match, the Money in the Bank match represents a golden opportunity for a Superstar to achieve immortality, and its entire lineage is presented here.
It is nice to see this match receive its own box-set release. The “Money in the Bank” concept...

The WCW was a promotion full of misused talent, the older stars kept the younger stars from blossoming into their full potential, However, there are many examples of WCW talent being misused in WWE, such as Dean Malenko, Ultimo Dragon, Scott Steiner and Perry Saturn, who were all misused in Vince McMahon’s company.
Yet despite this, there are a few examples of WCW talent reaching high levels of success in the WWE. So without further ado, I ask you to cast your eye over these WCW success stories.

Rey Mysterio made his name in Mexico fighting the likes of Juventud Guerrera and Psicosis in fresh and innovative matches, emerging as the main draw of an influx of Mexican superstars coming over to the States to make a name and some money for themselves.
