October was huge for Disney+ and Hulu — but which month isn’t? After the weekly installments of “Agatha All Along” and the staple that is Huluween, the bundled streamers gear up for winter programming this November.
Disney+ continues to be the home for live episodes of “Dancing With the Stars” and the original series “Ayla & The Mirrors,” which continues to air new episodes. Along with new children’s programming and holiday specials like “An Almost Christmas Story,” the streamer will premiere “The Music of John Williams” on November 1, celebrating the acclaimed film composer and his decades-long career with new footage and interviews from those he worked with and inspired.
It’s another big month for movies coming to Hulu, as well as beloved shows like “Ally McBeal” (complete series). Stay tuned for an adaptation of Charles Yu’s “Interior Chinatown” and the docuseries “It’s All Country,” as well as...

Ryan Reynolds has been a Hollywood staple for years, though he’s now best known for his iconic portrayal of Deadpool—a role he seems made for.
His diverse filmography spans more than just comedies, which is why fans on Ranker came together to rate all his movies. Let’s take a look at which ones made it to the top 10.
10. ‘Safe House’ (2012)
Reynolds teams up with Denzel Washington in a 2012 one-man-army action thriller. Despite the star-studded cast, the film received mixed reviews from critics, with its weakest points being the storyline and action sequences.
9. ‘Just Friends’ (2005)
Just Friends has a premise that even Deadpool would probably mock, but it’s still a decent choice if you’re into feel-good romances and holiday films. Ryan Reynolds stars alongside Amy Smart and Anna Faris, though critics agree that the movie isn’t quite as funny as you’d expect from a Reynolds comedy.

Ryan Reynolds is now popularly celebrated for his portrayal of Wade Wilson in the hugely successful Deadpool films. However, the actor has also charmed many leading ladies on screen and made them fall in love with him.
Ryan Reynolds played romantic leads in the 2000s in films like The Proposal |Touchstone Pictures
Reynolds has starred in some fun rom-coms such as Just Friends, The Proposal, and Definitely, Maybe. The latter had the Deadpool star romancing three actresses including Elizabeth Banks, Rachel Weisz, and Isla Fisher. With the running gag of the reason behind Thor crying in Deadpool & Wolverine, some fans are attributing it to the heartfelt proposal scene in Reynolds’ Definitely, Maybe.

After years of begging, pleading, and probably threatening to leak embarrassing photos of Fox execs, Deadpool finally made it to the big screen in 2016. Yes, it was quite a struggle. And since then, the Merc with a Mouth has not only saved the MCU but also resurrected Ryan Reynolds’ career from the dead. Well, it is not entirely true, as there would be no Deadpool on screen if Reynolds hadn’t invested his entire life into the character.

Reynolds took a not-so-established villain in the films and made him a household name. Fans thus will always rally behind the guy who refused to let go of this crazy, foul-mouthed character. In short, it is a love story, as there wouldn’t be one without the other.

Anna Faris would come back to Scary Movie. But there are a few conditions.
Speaking to People, Faris said she mostly needs one thing: “Money.”
Faris last appeared as Cindy Campbell in 2006’s Scary Movie 4. Paramount announced in April that it’s developing a reboot.
She added that she “would love to reprise” her role if costar Regina Hall, who played her character’s best friend Brenda, would also return.
“I would love to work with Regina again. I just love her so much,” says Faris. “We would make each other giggle all day long. Regina Hall would be my answer. And money. But mostly all Regina!”
Faris professed her affection for the comedy series.
“I love that franchise. It was like my bootcamp, my beginnings,” says Faris, who also starred on the sitcom Mom and films like The House Bunny and Just Friends.

"I remember reading one of the Deadpool comic books, and somebody asked Deadpool what he looks like. He said he looks like a cross between a Shar-Pei and Ryan Reynolds. I was like, I really, really wanna play this guy at some point," Reynolds said in 2009 of playing Deadpool. The actor, then known for his roles in films like "Van Wilder" and "Just Friends," would end up playing the part multiple times, but the journey to get a proper "Deadpool" movie made was a rough one that took well over a decade. It became a passion project for Reynolds that he championed every step of the way, ultimately resulting in one of the biggest R-rated movies in history.

Ryan Reynolds is probably one of the few actors out there with zero haters. From his onscreen characters to his banter with his wife Blake Lively, there is absolutely nothing we don’t love about him. His performance as Deadpool, though, will always hold a special place in our hearts. All in all, Ryan Reynolds clearly deserves all the appreciation he gets.

The controversial actor has previously expressed his resentment toward Ryan Reynolds but the harsh feelings seemed to have ended when the latter reached out to the former. But recently, T.J. Miller has made some comments about the popular actor yet again that did not sit right with the fans.

Hollywood often pushes actors into unusual situations, and Amy Smart also had a similar experience while working on the 2003 film The Battle of Shaker Heights. Starring Smart, alongside Shia Labeouf and Elden Henson, the film follows two teenage friends who devise historical battle tactics to confront school bullies, however, complications arise when one of them develops feelings for his friend’s older sister.

Smart portrayed the older sister Tabby, and the 15-year-old Labeouf played Kelly, who becomes infatuated with Tabby and shares a kiss with her in one of the scenes. Recollecting the experience, the Just Friends star admitted feeling uncomfortable kissing a teenager for the film.

To mark the ceremonious opening night, the concert boasted special guests Kirk Franklin, producer Jon Bellion, and a gospel choir for a run-through of The Album single “Walls.

From “House Bunny” and “Hot Chick,” to “Just Friends” and the “Scary Movie” franchise, it seems that just about every project Anna Faris touches becomes a cult classic. And she’s very thankful for it – but it wasn’t always that way.
Speaking to “UnWrapped” hosts Emily Vogel and Andi Ortiz, Faris admitted that, while she always recognized how lucky she was to have landed the “Scary Movie” franchise on her first audition, there was some resentment of what it did for her career after the fact.
“I went through a whole lot of internal agitation with being associated with comedy, solely,” she said. “Like, I did not feel like comedy was ever my strong suit. And it felt confusing. And I felt resentful to — like, after a while, it felt like, ‘Why can’t I get that audition?’ You know, ‘Why can’t I at least audition for whatever...

Remember “Fat Monica”? Every now and again, in Friends, there’d be a flashback scene. Encased in a fat suit and holding a doughnut, Courteney Cox would dance, while the laugh track whooped and shrieked. That laughter confirmed that the flashback character was created for one purpose only: to be a big joke. As the ultimate embodiment of the “before” to older Monica’s stick-thin “after”, “Fat Monica” imprinted onto the minds of millennials everywhere the idea that attractiveness relied on extreme weight loss. But Cox was far from the only one donning a fat suit in the Noughties. There was Gwyneth Paltrow in Shallow Hal, Mike Myers in Austin Powers, Ryan Reynolds in Just Friends, and both Elizabeth Moss and January Jones in Mad Men. And don’t forget the cross-dressing fat suit “comedies”. Eddie Murphy as foul-mouthed bully Rasputia in Norbit; John Travolta as agoraphobic Edna Turnblad in...

For fans of "Spirited," the Christmas movie musical starring Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds, Santa is delivering an early gift this year. As was announced via Deadline, Apple Original Films will be showing a special theatrical release of "Spirited," complete with a sing-along track for optimal audience participation. The film boasts original music from the Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award-winning team of Benji Pasek and Justin Paul, and provides some new Christmas tunes to add to your holiday playlist rotation. "Spirited" was previously given a limited theatrical release the week prior to its streaming availability on Apple TV+ back in November, but this new release will include stylized lyrics on screen, just like what you'd see on a karaoke screen, with each word highlighted in time to allow audience members to sing along.

Ryan Reynolds must sure love Christmas. Not only did he co-star in the holiday rom-com Just Friends, but he also has the A Christmas Carol spin Spirited in theaters and on Apple TV+ (read our review here). Oh, and he wrote a Deadpool Christmas movie, which Santa really needs to pull through on!
As he revealed in a new interview, Ryan Reynolds has indeed co-scripted a Deadpool holiday movie. “Four years ago [Deadpool co-writers] Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and I wrote a Christmas movie starring Deadpool. But it got lost in the shuffle of Disney acquiring Fox and it never got made.” That Reynolds pulled this out of his sack during the holiday season makes this a tantalizing tease for fans of the Merc with a Mouth.

Before streaming, cable television never let us down on delivering seasonally themed content. Back when we'd watch an episode a week for a season spanning several months, it was common for sitcoms or other shows to shift gears in the latter part of the calendar year to a string of holiday specials. Under the binge model that dominated early streaming, however, it felt to me like we lost this tradition for a while, as showrunners could not as easily plan for the holidays if the audience was watching entire seasons in a weekend.
When I was growing up, the Walt Disney Company was a strong contributor to the holiday spirit in my home through original movies and special episodes on Disney Channel or through ABC Family's (now Freeform's) "25 Days of Christmas" and "13 Nights of Halloween" extended movie marathons. But even Disney has needed time to realign its holiday...

Aaron Raitiere excels at writing the kind of country songs that blend a biting sense of humor with a little something extra, like the righteous indignation of Caylee Hammack’s spiky “Just Friends” or the winking desire of Maren Morris’ “Tall Guys.” The Kentucky singer-songwriter brings all of this to the fore on his new solo album Single Wide Dreamer, shuffling through a group of songs that convey empathy and humor alike, in the tradition of John Prine or wordplay master Roger Miller.

The Walking Dead is embracing the Commonwealth of late as we approach the end of the AMC hit.
One of the most vital aspects of the Commonwealth arc is Josh Hamilton's Lance Hornsby.
If you watch The Walking Dead online, you know Lance has been vocal about wanting to reel in the other communities.
TV Fanatic got the chance to speak to Hamilton about his character.
"The most enjoyable thing is just his complications," Hamilton says of playing such a multi-layered character, adding that he likes the question surrounding his actions.
"Is he a good guy? Is he a bad guy? I mean, maybe that's not so tricky to figure out, but I think his motivations are complicated even to himself."
The actor added that Lance is ambitious, but cautions that his motivations are more complicated than what we see on the surface.

TV Fanatic got the chance to speak to Hamilton about his character.
"The most enjoyable thing is just his complications," Hamilton says of playing such a multi-layered character, adding that he likes the question surrounding his actions.

The actor added that Lance is ambitious, but cautions that his motivations are more complicated than what we see on the surface.
"I think he has some longstanding feelings...

Often dismissed for their old-fashioned ways, classic films should be applauded for those very qualities. For better—and sometimes for a lot worse—movies operate as de facto documentaries of their generation, and none more so than the string of depression-era comedies produced under the most un-comical circumstances. Those two-reelers featured bankable stars at center stage but lingering on the sidelines were the dime a dozen extras who came to California looking for work and found it in, of all places, Hollywood. Brutalized by their circumstances, these migrants would not have been out of place in a Walker Evans photograph—instead those careworn faces would be documented by the likes of Mack Sennett and Hal Roach. One of Roach...

The Critic's Choice Awards have been postponed, "John Wick: Chapter 4" has been delayed until 2023, the Omicron variant of Covid-19 is spreading faster than a click-bait headline about a Marvel movie, and "Titane" was snubbed from the Oscars shortlist. I don't know about you, but heading into the weekend holiday, it's becoming harder and harder to find things that make me feel anything other than existential dread with a sprinkle of seasonal depression. I already dipped into my usual holiday feel-good films like "The Muppets Christmas Carol" and goofy rom-coms like "Just Friends," but with each day bringing its own fresh...

The Walking Dead may be coming to an end with an expanded final season, but it may not mean the end of Negan.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan teased to TV Line that a spinoff featuring the former leader of the Saviors could be made.
“There’ve been things discussed with me and network people,” he explained to the outlet.
“We’ll see. I mean, Negan could still find his way six feet under [before Season 11 concludes], so that could be a problem unless it’s a prequel."
“But there are still stories to be told with Negan,” he adds.
“I kind of know how the season has worked itself so far, and we’re cracking open windows here and there that would lend themselves to more Negan story.”
The star revealed that he would definitely be open to the idea of spinning the character off into his own project.
“I do love Negan,” he says.

It's official: Ryan Reynolds has joined TikTok. And in celebration of the momentous occasion, the Deadpool actor posted a comical clip of himself lip-syncing along to "I Swear" by R&b group All-4-One, which is a nod to his character, Chris Brander, doing the same in the mirror in the 2005 romantic comedy, Just Friends. The actor, whose name on the platform is @vancityreynolds, hilariously captioned the post, "I swear you will be disappointed by this account." We're sure fans are the opposite of disappointed by the father of three's decision to join the platform, seeing as he uses his other social media accounts,...
