Destroyer of Worlds

Destroyer of Worlds refers tae the tent full-length album release bi Bathory. It takes its name frae a famous quote bi J. Robert Oppenheimer aboot the atomic bomb, "A am become daith, destroyer o warlds," which wis itself mistakenly quotit frae a verse in the Bhagavad Gita[1]. Stylistically, Destroyer of Worlds is a cross atween the Viking metal o Bathory's 1988-1991 period an the retro-thrash metal o Requiem an Octagon, as can be heard in "Bleeding", "109", "Death from Above", "Liberty & Justice", an "Kill Kill Kill". It is Bathory's langest studio album.
