[edit]From Old Galician-Portuguese [Term?], equivalent to estro + -ume, from estrar, from estrado, from Latin strātum.[1] Related to English strew. Alternatively from a Vulgar Latin *strumen, from Latin strāmen, related to sternō and strātum.
