[edit]Probably related to тук (tuk, “fat, lard”), тыть (tytʹ, “тучнеть, to grow stout/fat, to put on flesh”) as Russian кры́ша (krýša, “roof”) related to Russian крыть (krytʹ, “to cover, to roof”). Alternatively related to ту́хнуть (túxnutʹ).
