Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Turkic *tet- (“to strive, exert; bold, hero; clever, reasonable; cheerful, vigorous”), whence also دیدنمك (didin-, “to strive”).[1]
Compare Old Turkic [script needed] (tetik, “quickwitted, intelligent”) and Karakhanid [script needed] (tetin-, “to strive”).
